Make Disciples!

To understand how to make disciples, we need to understand what Jesus understood a disciple to be. In this message we reflect on three imperatives that Jesus gives in the Great Commission. The first is the Ownership Imperative, which explores my relationship to Jesus and asks ‘who is in charge of my life?’ The second is the Apprenticeship Imperative, which demands much more of us that a head knowledge of what Jesus taught because his teachings must be worked out in our lives every day. The third and final imperative is the Leadership Imperative which applies to all disciples not just pastors and ministers, requiring us to disciple each other and lead others to faith in Christ.
