Psalm 23 – A Melody for Life!

The lyrics of Psalm 23 from the 1650 Scottish Psalter combined with the tune Crimond are probably the most well known Christian hymn and tune known in Scotland, if not across the world. Psalm 23 is the best known of 73 psalms that are credited to David, and given that he was a shepherd himself, they express something of the kind of care that God provides for us when we are in a relationship with him. The Hebrew word for psalm ‘mizmor’ means melody, so as we will be taking a deeper look at this psalm over the next few weeks, an appropriate title for this series is ‘A Melody for Life!’
